Rays is a mutation label recorded on a carried egg, not a separate egg species. During Hujan, a notice said the Coral Egg was mutated to RAYS. The basket showed Rays and Mut[RAYS] x1.5. The quantity that x1.5 multiplies was not shown. The carry timer kept running, the egg expired, and it was never hatched, so inheritance is unknown.

Observed once on a carried Coral Egg during rain, after a notice that named the egg. There is no known way to force it.
How do you use Rays?
Keep riding to your aquarium. Rays does not pause Egg Will Break. A flash without a named notice is not this mutation.
